an i5 13600k or the 5900x (same price, similar performance) aren’t exactly low end, but the 3900x isn’t drastically worse and shouldn’t be having any problem playing diablo 4 at ultra assuming one isn’t cpu bound. yes you can get better now, and for cheaper than the 4 year old components will be cheaper- the gpu which is more expensive now and the ryzen 9 5900x is cheaper than the 3900x) but these components are still better than mid tier stuff from today.
